They make some profit or get some loans to fix some problems, but there are always new holes to be filled......for now I'm going with "insufficient cashflow" but I always feel like you have a better translation :P

Ami Green You are too kind. I think I understand what 周轉不靈 means now. While "insufficient cash flow" certainly works, I'd use "poor cash flow". "Poor cash flow" is when the incoming cash flow is not enough to meet the outgoing cash flow needs.
